If so, do you have any knowledge to share?
Trying to come up with more guides to help out those in need. :)

Care to share? I haven't dealt with those... (heard of the controller port thing, but that's it)

A friend of mine in Atlanta, GA just opened a new biz repairing systems. The website is smashthebutton. I've been sending him all my PS2 chipmods since I've fried three trying myself, I just have big hands and cannot ge tthe bios wires soldiered. His skills are top notch.

PSX as in the first playstation, right? Not the PSX only released in japan.

Anyway, there are several issues with the PS1, namely overheating and the laser going out of whack. You might wan't to try standing them vertically(ps2 style) as that's been known to help. There are other solutions as well, if standing it up doesn't work
