Hey, maybe this will irritate people. Here's hoping it doesn't.
Anyway, can somebody explain what it would take to get my PSP-3000 playing my PSX games? I have a pretty decent collection of PSX games built up here and I don't want to have pay for them a second (and in some cases THIRD) time when I know it's possible to just mod my PSP and do it. I've been searching Google and YouTube for the last couple days, but haven't found anything very straightforward for someone who's a) not that well-versed in this kind of thing and b) uses a Mac.
If anyone could just point me in the right direction, I'd be one happy camper. Heh, there's your incentive.
Seriously though, thanks.

Re: PSX on PSP?
once your psp is running hacked firmware, you need to convert your psx iso's into .cso format and load onto your memory stick. the other option is to convert your iso in an eboot file that goes onto the memory stick as well. I just modded a 1000 myself and was a cinch with pandora's battery. not too sure if that method will work for a 3000 tho. good luck

You're stuffed on a 3000, trade it in and get a 1***

not entirely trueKrooner wrote:You're stuffed on a 3000, trade it in and get a 1***
3000s can be loaded with CFW as long as your OFW is not past 5.03, then you can use the ChikHEN loader .gif exploit and run CFW and then load PSX games on a 3000.

Re: PSX on PSP?
The only gotcha is that you can't power off the PSP or you'll have to reload it again. So instead of powering it off, just put it to sleep.
I actually do this all the time with my 2000. I find the sleep mode to work really well and the battery will last awhile.

So how long does it take to run the hack and install the firmware in memory on a PSP 3000?IcKy99 wrote:Yup, forgot to mention that. Re: PSX on PSP?
I was thinking more of how long assuming that everything is on your memory stick. In other words, you pull out this special memory stick in case you inadvertently power the PSP off or your battery died on you. Is it less than a minute?IcKy99 wrote:no more than 10 minutes to download the stuff unzip and run the hacks on the psp
