Hey Guys,
I am burning some DC backups and I cannot find a cracked version of DiscJuggler. I dont know if its because Im using a 64 bit version of Vista or not. The newest version seems to work, but I can only find a demo which wont let you burn images bigger than 700mb. When I download an earlier version DiscJuggler crashes and I get an error message (im not sure what the error pertains to, its just a bunch of nonsense). Ive downloaded several versions but the only one that works is the demo of the newest version. However, I did attempt to burn Sonic Adventure and even though it was bigger than 700mb it still burned fine.
So is there a different software that I can use. I tried using BootDream and none of the games would work.
I dont know why Sonic Adventure worked though. The game was supposed to be about 750mb, the limit on the demo is 700mb. But, when I put the disc into my DC it played just fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Just use the demo. Even if the iso is over 700mb the iso directs DiscJuggler to compress the contents over 700 as it burns the game so you don't go over the 700mb limit.

Get yourself a copy of Alcohol 120%, burn em at 4X.
Never had a issue, using every other method I wasted like 10 discs and heaps of my time, do yourself a favor and try Alcohol 120%.

This, I don't know why discjuggler is ever suggested for dc games anymore. It was always kinda a pos, and now there's much much better programs to use, and they're good for more than just DC games. I've had good luck wth Nero also, but Alcohol 120% is great, works well for Playstation games also.IcKy99 wrote:DiskJuggler always was kinda shoddy

It's probably suggested because the trial version is sufficient to burn DC games without having to delve (further) into the world of warez. Isn't the trial version of Alcohol 120% time-limited?t0yrobo wrote: This, I don't know why discjuggler is ever suggested for dc games anymore.
Also, regarding the filesize, Mod_Man's explanation is not quite correct. The 700MB data limit on Discjuggler is intended to limit one's burning to 1 CD. However, a CD actually holds more than 700MB-- it's just that all of the extra space is used for formatting data. If you recall, those old 1.44MB floppy discs were actually 2MB floppy discs. It was just after they were formatted that one could only put 1.44 MB of data on them. Error correction coding also adds a hefty disc space penalty, though that stuff is not included in the image itself, I don't think.
A disc image can be larger than 700MB because the image contains the formatting data necessary to properly access that 700MB of data. So, even if you are burning a 750MB image, much of that data is necessary formatting information that does not count toward the 700MB limit.
As I recall, a blank CD actually stores something like 1.2 GB of data. It's just that the extra space is eaten up by necessary formatting and error correction data.
