Hey everybody,
I've been knocking my head against the wall for the last few months trying to figure out how to get the RGB signal out of my Gen1/CD2/32x (all NTSC) setup. I already have the Gen2/32x SCART cable, and my TV in my game room has S-Video input, so that's what I'm striving for (no component input, unfortunately).
Does anyone know what setup I would need to go from my Genesis SCART cable to S-video on my TV? I don't have to worry about the sound output, because it's coming from my RCA outs on the CD2 unit.
Sega Genesis (w/ 32x & CD2) SCART to s-video options?
Re: Sega Genesis (w/ 32x & CD2) SCART to s-video options?
The cheapest option I can think of is buying yourself a input/output SCART to RCA/Svideo adapter (I have seem at Hifi stores for like 6 bucks), paired with a Female SCART to Female SCART adapter (I have not seen these but im sure they would exist).
I am currently looking into something similar for myself so once I buy my RGB cable and figure out how im going about it, I will be sure to send a mesg your way.

The Megadrive never output s-video without modification so you're going to have to build some sort of converter. Maybe the guys over at http://gamesx.com/ could help you.
