Need your thoughts....
Should I have platform-specific forums (Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, etc) as child forums of the existing forums (in this case the Sega forum) or as Main forums under a company category?
Having them as child forums would require an additional click from the forum index...

Re: Platform Categories
I personally think that less is more; the platform categories are fine as they are.

Re: Platform Categories
Im for keeping them the same, just add Playstaion, Xbox, and PC. The current "Sony and Microsoft" needs not to be lumped together since the original PS1 is kinda retro... heck its got articles on the front page.
Re: Platform Categories
I vote no for right now. The platform forums just don't seems to be busy enough to justify it. I suppose in theory it might help stunt the creation of repeat posts, but I have my doubts that it would work. I suppose I wouldn't hate it if that did end up happening. It's just annoying enough to search through all the different forums as it is when you didn't check the location of a thread while it was on the front page.

That's essentially my thoughts. Nintendo and Sega are fine, but Sony + Microsoft should be split up.

One more vote for separating Sony/Xbox/PC.

Re: Platform Categories
I "fourth" splitting up Sony & Microsoft. Maybe the split could be:
Sony/Apps
Microsoft/PC
or
Sony
Microsoft
Apps/Mac
PC.

Sony and Microsoft need to be split, that's for sure. However, subsections are a bit unnecessary IMO

Maybe in the future as the community grows we will have a need to split the forums. Usually I am all for over organizing things, but what we have right now works for the current amount of posts.
