Super Mario RPG or Paper Mario

Post by SpaceBooger »

So I have SMRPG and Paper Mario on virtual console, and disc versions of the GameCube and Wii Paper Mario. I want to play a VC version first because of the "save state" like feature for when I need to quit quicky...
So where do you recommend I start: Super Mario RPG or Paper Mario?

I recommend Super Mario RPG. It is Paper Mario "part one" or "origins".

they are both good, i think paper mario is funnier, and since the story lines do not connect its not that important, i would actually say paper mario first

I have a Paper Mario cartridge, but no Mario RPG cart. I kind of want to hold out and play Mario RPG on the real hardware. Should I wait to play Paper Mario until I've played Mario RPG?

Although I'd need someone to confirm this for me, I'm pretty sure N64 games on the VC don't have a save state feature.

This is the truth.

Both are great in their own right. Frankly, I'd just go with one on a whim.
