Took pictures of part of my collection while cleaning

Post by jfe2 »

I was cleaning and organizing my video game stuff today and took a few pictures of some of my collection. Some of might still be a little dirty in the pictures, as I haven't cleaned up everything from the flea markets yet. I have some more stuff but I didn't have it out when I took the pictures. If I get time next weekend I'll post some more, including my games.

These pictures overlapped. I actually only own three Genesis 2's and two Playstations.

Here's my new top-loader NES! I had it set up so my two-year-old could play some Duckhunt.

Image

The Playstation controllers are garbage and need to be replaced, but all of the N64 controllers are in great shape.

Here's that Genesis storage case that I mentioned a few weeks ago.

The inside is a bit dusty in this picture, but has since been cleaned. :D

Nice, now lets see some games. I have never seen that quickshot controller before. Does it play well?

Wow! Good collection! Your systems, especially the NESes struck me as very very clean. It looks like there was no yellowing at all with the NES.

I actually haven't had a chance to use it yet. I picked it up last weekend with the SNES mini. I was going to play some Super Metroid tonight though, so I'll use it for that and get back to you.

Thanks man! I try to take good care of my stuff, and no matter where I get it from I clean the crap out of it before using it. Two of those Genesis consoles were nasty when I picked them up. They were both brown all over with black gunk in the crevices. The pin connectors, although technically free of any corrosion, had hair and dust stuck in them. Nasty stuff!

Wow, I'm surprised that's actually made of wood instead of all plastic.

What happened with the ALS cabinet in that auction? Did the guy take your offer, or are you perhaps still interested in the one that I had?

He declined and was asking way too much. I would definitely be interested, I'll just have to wait a bit before I can commit. I've been spending way too much money this month, I'll have to cool it until I get paid later this week. IIRC the one you have looks like it would sit nicely on top of mine.

No hurry, I just thought to ask since you posted the drawer unit. If you need a picture or measurements to make sure it will fit on top, let me know.

I see like me you like the black GameCubes best. They look much better with a Gameboy Player than the other models do.

Luckily I have Gameboy Players for both consoles! They do look great with the black versions of the Gamecube.
