PS2 won't work
This is rather odd, but I went to go play some metal gear solid, and when I connected everything and turned the PS2 on, the TV said no signal. I have it in the right input, I have everything attached, but still nothing. Thoughts?

Any extra cables ... remember your PS1 cables will work also.

No extra cables, or a PS1 sadly.
Would you suggest getting new ones, or should I take pictures of the back and stuff first?

Re: PS2 won't work
I would say try reconnecting all of the wires, double check that they are color coordinated (like red to red, yellow to yellow, white to white), and also check to see if the red light on the ps2 is there... if it is not it is either not switched on in the back (inless you have a slim) or not plugged into the power correctly.
If all of these check out, hit the reset button to power it on and if everything apprears normal, go through all of the inputs on the TV to make sure you are on the right one.
Is your ps2 connect directly to the tv? If not, make sure whatever it is connected to is also turned on, like a VCR or stereo system.
Cheers!

Red is in red, etc., the light is on, I don't have a VCR or speakers with it. Just tried dis/reconnecting, resetting, etc.

Looked further, and saw that the thing the input cords go in is bent.
Picture. Taken with cellphone so may not be best quality.
Thoughts?

Hard to tell from the picture. If just one of the pins got bent, you could try to carefully bend it back down with tweezers after disconnecting power.

I don't know how to properly mess with the pins, and don't wanna screw anything up.
Anybody who has a PS2 on hand- how many silver connector pin thingies is the AV cable supposed to have?

Re: PS2 won't work
On the system, there are 12 pins in grooves. For the plain composite AV cable, there are 4 pins, a 1 pin wide gap, then one more pin. The other half is empty.

Re: PS2 won't work
Then I think I found my problem. There's pins missing on the cable. I'll try ordering another cable and hope that works.
