Mega Man X, especially if you're a fan of the series. Quite honestly though, you could probably beat Castlevania and Contra in a day of casual play. ActRaiser would likely take the longest.

i'm personally a fan of castlevania 4 and mega man x. never played actraiser, and i suck at contra games. doesnt mean its bad though, just not for me.

Yes, these are four great games. You should definitely get them all!!!

I like Mega Man X a lot, but Castlevania 4 is one of my personal favorites for the system. I think they'd be tied for first choice out of those four games.

And if I might make a suggestion for other great SNES games... DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 1, 2 and 3!

All 4 games are great. If you can only pick 2 get CV4 and MegaManX.

I'm glad to see so many people are giving you the sound advice to go with Mega Man X and Castlevania IV. ActRaiser 2 is better then the original in my opinion (which is no the majority's) and the Contra series is always fun but unless you plan on dedicating large amounts of time to overcome the game, you're going to find yourself picking it up only every so often and seeing how far you'll get. The other games you can beat with a little less effort.

Of the four, Mega Man X is the only one I own(hence it gets my recommendation, there's a LOT of meat to that game), but all four are definitely worth it.

Haha, I don't know why I didn't put Donkey Kong Country in there; I ordered it along with alot of the other games on the list.

To the guy who said I should get all of them, I probably will eventually, but I've blown a ton of money on the aforementioned carts and didn't want to spend a whole lot more, so another $60 on the aforementioned games didn't seem reasonable. Mega Man X is probably the best choice because it's the cheapest, but I really like Super Castlevania IV from what I've played of it (God, that music kicks ass!). The only Mega Man games I've ever played were 8 and X4, and I was only moderately impressed by them. I keep hearing that Mega Man X is arguably (and it's argued alot) the best game in the series, which is more than I can say for the ones that I've played. But then if I got Mega Man X and Super Castlevania IV I know that I'd just say, "Well, I've already got nearly every game I wanna get for the system, I might as well go ahead and get the rest" and then spend money I shouldn't be spending. Damn my lack of self-control.
