Get the serial, and make sure it's in warranty for RRoD. Not a mod, but extremely helpful. If it is in warranty, they will repair RRoD for free.

Gut it and mount it in a computer case with a lot of fans.

Ive seen it done several times and if done right it is kinda cool.
