Mega Man 4 Slow Down?

Post by cabrando »

I recently bought Mega Man 2-5 for my nes, I beat 2 and have to take back my copy of 3 b/c it won't work. I had no slow down issues with 2, but so far it has happened every level to me in 4.

Could this be a cart/system issue or is this just the way the game is?

?......If your talking solely about slowdown tons of NES games are known for this. If your talking about games not working, try cleaning the contacts or look for damage on the contacts. Sorry I couldn't help more but I had a hard time understanding your post.

It has slowdown. The second game is not as slowdown heavy, but has a lot of flickering. Mega Man 3's slowdowns pretty much killed the game for me.

They've all got slowdown at spots, like MM2's air man stage. I remember hearing that the anniversary collection fixed this but I've never checked.

ugh, I was hoping this was something fixable. So far I have found the game unplayable with the slowdown. I think it was Dust man's stage where the blocks come in and form one big block over a pit of spikes was the most unplayable part so far.

I remember the flickering from 2, but it didn't make things as bad as the slowdown.

Slowdown is just something one has to live with in the most intense (or sometimes poorly programmed) 8 and 16 bit games.

I have beaten 1-6 countless times despite the slowdown. The slowdown, if anything, makes the games easier.

That is true as Anniversary collection DID indeed fix this, and it does make it MUCH harder.

Get over it. Slowdown is just a part of retro and original hardware, plus in some cases actually makes some games much more playable.

As for the games not working, Q-Tips and 70% By Volume Rubbing Alcohol my friend....
