Burning Dreamcast Games
Because I forgot how I did it before. I downloaded Nero 9 (free version) but I forgot what kind of files I needed from the games I downloaded from a bit torrent site. Or how to do it and stuff. It would be nice to get some more DC games.
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

Re: Burning Dreamcast Games
Well first off, go get an older version of Nero. I believe that Nero 5.5 is the latest version that works perfectly with DC games; the newer versions do work I believe, but they're much more of a hassle.
As far as actually burning them, most of the games come in .cdi format, which is a DiskJuggler format, and, in my opinion, is crap. I use cdi2nero to change them to .nrg files, then I burn them with Nero 5.5, and I don't think I've had a single coaster.
The other way to burn .cdi files (aside from actually using DiskJuggler) is to use BootDreams, which will also let you build SBI homebrew discs, and is a pretty cool program. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how to burn .cdi games with it because I use Nero, but I'm sure someone else here can chime in on it, and anything else I've missed.
One thing I recommend though: go out and get a new spindle of CD-Rs. You're going to need it.

Use Alcohol 120%. It will burn pretty much any image type you throw at it.

I actually don't know if they'll work; I'd assume they would, or at least should, but, knowing Vista, you may have to sacrifice a small animal or two to get it to work. Alcohol 120% should work though, so try them both. I'm not sure if a new free trial will work though, you might have to mess with your registry, and/or get to cracking the program. And yes, cdi2nero is a separate program, some quick googling should bring it right up, but if you have trouble finding it just PM me and I'll see if I have the site written down somewhere or something.Betamax001 wrote:Do the older version of Nero work with Vista though? and is cdi2nero a seperate program?

Re: Burning Dreamcast Games
CDI2nero is a separate program. Just google for it.
Burn at slow speeds. 4x if you can, though my current desktop burner won't go below 16x. My laptop has a slower burner so I use that.
