Best Drifting Game for PS2 or Xbox

Best Drifting Game

I have been playing Grid on my mates PS3 and it has rekindled my interest in racing games, and I'm looking for a good drifting game. The game itself dose not need to be a drifting based game but something with realistic drifting elements would be fantastic. I have been playing PGR2 and you can powerslide very easy but linking corner is proving difficult, any suggestions would be great. No PS3 or 360 for me so it need to be on the PS2 or Xbox OG.

All of these take practice! I highly recommend Enthusia because it has realistic driving dynamics, check out the videos on youtube.

There are other titles, but these are the best simulation titles. You could try Kaido Battle and Initial D if you are interested in Arcade type drifting.

Outrun 2 SP (X-Box)
Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (PS2/X-Box)

It's an arcade racer that focuses on drifting. Probably my favourite racing game.

I played that Tokyo Drift game pictured above. I thought it was terrible. Thankfully, the copy I bought was glitchy, so I was able to take it back and exchange it for something else.

I'd say play more GRID. I don't know what's really good for drifting though. I can't ever quite seem to master the art of the drift in racing games. I love Midnight Club 2 and 3 though.

I guess what explains the disparity between the critics' and gamers' ratings is that the Tokyo Xtreme series has garnered a small fanbase like the Armored Core series which thinks highly of the franchise. The last Tokyo Xtreme game I played was on Dreamcast and it was a solid racing title, albeit lacking in scenery (like NFS Underground).

Drifting was one thing that I bested my car enthusiast friends at. Nobody managed to beat me at Sega Rally 2 even though I still don't know how to check the car's oil level.
