I have one and I haven't played with it ever since I got it. The best part about it is the "potential" emulation they have (which barely gets updated). Their SNES emulation sucks. The best Emu are Nintendo Nes and Neo Geos (they run great), but that's about it. The rest still needs a lot of work.

Get a GP2X or a PSP if you want a good, cheap and portable emulation machine.

Have a look at these topics. I am not posting them to scold you that they have already been talked about, but because it is a topic I am generally interested in. I posted a little while back because I am interested in the Dingoo also. You may find some informative stuff here. Also, a guy here is selling a modded Dingoo with an 8 gb memory card for like 80 bucks (I think). Something to consider...

Here is the link to that convo:

Main question is what do you want to emulate? Like mentioned, it's a great NES or Neo-Geo emulator, but that's about it. The emulation user interface is more streamlined than the Wiz, as all of the emulators have the same controlls. On the Wiz, there are different developers with different interfaces, using different buttons to do different things. The control feels better too over the Wiz. You can hook up the Dingoo to your TV right out of the box as well, comes with an AV cable even.

The Wiz has an amazing screen and sound, but the buttons and controls feel cheap as hell to me (and all their buttons are squared off and have corners with metal "accents" - What the fuck? Like my thumbs don't get enough damage with regular buttons :x ), and the d-pad is of the poorest quality I've encountered on any controller, constantly moving up when you want to move right or left, etc - otherwise, yeah, the Wiz it's great!

But back to the point... The Dingo is great if you want an NES or Neo-Geo handheld / emulator player.
YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD. GAME OVER.

forget the official firmware for the dingoo, install linux and use picodrive and snes9x - both emulators work 10x better than the official ones. no gba under linux yet, but sometime soon.
