Does the LaserActive have Compatibility Issues?

As stated, I am having sound issues whenever I play some Shmups on my LaserActive. I can play any other LD/Genesis Cart/Sega Cd/Cd without any problems, except for some Sega Cd Shmups.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just Sega CD shmups, or Genesis as well?
