My arcade cab is painted.

After seeing Nathan's post about painting up his arcade cab, I decided to do the same thing. Before the thing was all black and in a dark basement it really didn't stand out. Now it stands out pretty well and reminds me of a Neo-Geo cab. Now I just have to get some side art.

I'm not happy about how the coin door turned out though, I guess I'l repaint that back to black.

I'll be switching out the monitor and making a proper bezel in the next few weeks as well.

Wow that looks very great, I can see what you mean about the coin door, but it really doesn't stand out too much. What kind of paint did you use?

Rustoleum Royal Red Paint. It took about three coats overall. Do not get that stuff on your hands though...it took me an hour and a half to get it off my hands.

I have a lava lamp like that.
I wish I could say the same about the arcade cabinet.

Nice cab, ironically as well it's shape reminds me of a stacked washing machine/dryer combo.

Yeah, kinda an odd design isn't it? When I got it, it was an Aero Fighters cab, but that was a conversion from something else.

I like it - the red is a great retro-looking shade. Not sure why, it just strikes me that way.
