Call of Duty: Modern Warfare coming to the Wii...!

Kinda cool. I never played the original game on any of the other consoles. I think it's inevitable that the Wii version will have some differences from the other versions (Aside from the obvious graphical change). If those changes are bad (Ex: Limiting the number of players) I won't buy the game. If their good changes (Ex: Adding new weapons or perks) then I'll probably get it. If it's the exact same game with no changes at all then I'll consider it, but I can't guarantee anything.

What are your thoughts?

I wasnt a big fan of it on the PC or 360. But if they can make it as customizable as the Conduit and have splitscreen Ill pick it up.

Remapping buttons is a big deal that many developers seem to forget about.

Although the other platforms (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) will be getting Modern Warfare 2, I might actually try Modern Warfare 1 for my Wii because of the control scheme. No other console/system has the unique control scheme the Wii does. The only thing I am wondering is how well the controls will hold up to the game. I've played Modern Warfare 1 on my PC, and it's very hectic. I don't think I'm that proficient with the Wii controller yet, so I hope the game on the Wii will still be fun. This will be interesting.

Oh dear, it's being done by Treyarch. :S

I wouldn't hold high hopes for this one!

Have Treyarch ever made a decent game?

The wii version of WaW wasnt bad, far better than the buggy CoD3 that they developed. I'm starting to get a bid tired of WW2 shooters, the guns are always the same old guns and the trenches are always the same old trenches. OK WaW had flamethrowers and the crazy japs were fun to fight but I need something different.

I've not played Modern Warfare so I might be interested in this, bizarre as it is to release it now.

How dare you insult the MP40, it is the greatest submachine gun ever created. Mainly because game developers for some reason decided it should be incredibly accurate at mid to long range in ironsights mode.

Compared to PS3 or PC version, WaW on the Wii is a whole different game. Felt it had a slow pacing but need to try multiplayer maybe. We all know the drill, PC better, then 360-PS3 whatever... but its a decent game for FPS newcomers. I did not play with the gun so maybe that could change the game into a better experience.
