Looking for NeoGeo CD recommandations.

Post by Vhaeos »

Well, I recently got my Xbox set up to play NeoGeo CD games, and the controller works quite well for it, so, I'm looking for some games to download. I've already grabbed Metal Slug, and that's quite fun. I would've just looked at the "Your Favorite NeoGeo Games" thread, but, I'm not really looking for fighters, or games that were on the Pocket/NeoGeo. Since it seems like quite a few of the good games on the NeoGeo were fighting games, I thought I'd ask.

Anyway, here's a list of the games released on NeoGeo CD, so that no one has to look anything up.

Iron Clad - shoot 'em up
Crossed Swords 2 - 1st person/action adventure

Other than that, I recommend that you play the other NEO games on MAMEoX! :)

Haha, thanks. A 1st person game sounds quite interesting. I'll download them both. As for getting MAMEoX, that's a big reason I made this thread - unwillingness to install another emulator. ;) Thanks a bunch.

:edit
Aw, it appears there aren't any wav/bin/cue rips up on UndergroundGamer. May have to settle for something less. Thanks again for the recommendations.

Gotta go with the fighting games of course like...
Samurai Showdown series (I recommend the second one)
Baseball Stars 2 (has aways been my favorite Neo Geo games I recommend getting that one)
Double Dragon (for some reason I liked that one alot I don't know why)
Metal Slug (of course)
Galaxy Fight - Universal Warriors (you will be surprised)
League Bowling (very simple but satisfying)

Alright, thanks everyone. I'll look into those games. Thanks a bunch for the link to your review, Racketboy. Wind Jammers looks quite interesting. Seems like it could be kind of a fun party type game.
