I have several magic cards but don't know much about them- I'm not looking to sell them here especially but does anyone know how I can find out their worth?
When I get a cameraphone on Tuesday I can actually get pictures to post somewhere, but I am just generally asking

Re: Magic the Gathering cards
Do you know how old they are? Generally you sell magic cards by the pound. There are a few cards out there that may net you a few bucks but for the most part they're worthless. Get the pictures up and we can figure out if you have any gems.
Re: Magic the Gathering cards
The easiest way to gage the prices of individual cards is one of the main Magic websites like StarCity Games. But, as mentioned, unless your card is worth $5 or more as a single they generally just get sold in bulk.

Re: Magic the Gathering cards
the best thing to do is to ID the set its from. if the set came out before 4th edition you might have something. there are obviously exceptions but as a general rule if you are hoping for a real treasure this will be the case. if it's a newer set then the set symbol on the card should be color coded. gold is a rare. you could easily look those up on ebay. if it's an older set with no symbol, or no color on the symbol then establish the set and look those up. sets are all listed by date on wiki. card images can be found by name on the WOTC website. ebay for prices. the best cards are called the Power 9 or P9. they're also the oldest. i doubt you've got those but if you do i'd buy them off you for a fair price. i've got two beta moxes.
