Retro Gamer Magazine

Post by Octopod »

I figure they may be a thread on this already but the search function is not working for me. Everyone else have this same problem? Anywho..anyone else buy this publication? I just picked up the newest issue available in the US and it has a bad ass Metroid cover. The mag is kind of pricey but it is one of the few print magazines I buy.

I have the latest issue since I subscribe this month its all about spy hunter. Great mag a little pricey as you say but if you can swing the cash its worth it or at least read it at the news stands :)

My local Barnes and Noble sells them for $11.99 per issue. I'll buy one every once in a while, depending on content.

I find it between 9.50 and 12.50 euro, which is a rip off at both price points, with the new Euro-Pound rate

Currently one of the only magazines I always read (The Economist is the other). At $12 an issue on the US newstand, it's pricey, but the quality of the writing and coverage makes it worth it. I even scooped up a whole load of back issues on eBay a while back. There's also a pretty lively forum community at the mag's website.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

There are a few issues on Underground Gamer. Issue 50 (the Dreamcast one) was upped by me (My username is Devilmyarse on UG). Don't forget to give thanks and seed it!

I get it whenever I can, but I've missed a few months now from being thrifty as we're saving up for a new house.
