Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
And it was nuts. I think I watched twice as much of that game as I played, but I've come to expect it in the final chapter. I'm gonna go back and replay 'em all, hopefully starting tonight, so I can catch all the little nuances that build up the story. Any of you guys play it?

I loved that ending, the walk through the microwave hallway before the fight with Liquid was incredibly epic.

Yea it was an amazing ending but I almost wanted to cry. 4 games of pure epic awesome... finished. No more sequels...
On another note on launch day of that game I locked myself in my room till I finished all the games in sequence. I had a cooler filled with Dr. Pepper and enough Oreos and Cheetos to last me at least a year.

....Snake's had a hard life.
And what a truly epic way to end the story! I actually managed to finish it without killing a single person and no alert phases triggered so I got the bandana and stealth camo but that game's cut scenes were an endurance test to be sure. Loved every minute of the pain though.

Re: Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
I bought My ps3 specifically for MGS4. In fact, I bought the MGS4 PS3 bundle on the release day. I beat the game four times that week. I have always loved the long cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid and I love the gameplay in every one. The final scenes with Ocelot and Snake were incredible and I felt that the whole game tied up every loose end that I could think of. My favourite part of the entire game may be the motorcycle chase scene with Big Mama.

Re: Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
I played through it in 1 weekend and it was an amazing way to finish my favourite series of all time. It's pretty rare that a game can have such an emotional effect on me, but this one did.Truly beautiful.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

What a great game that was. I nearly cried when Raiden was messed up by Outer Haven.
Re: Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
When Raiden dislocated his shoulder only to cut it off, and then STOP A FUCKING SHIP by stabbing his sword through his foot I wanted to cry because I knew I can never be that manly. I'm pretty sure Raiden slays virgins of ethnic villages and doesn't even send child support.
Re: Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4
That had to be the deepest game I've ever played in terms of both story and gameplay. The higher difficulty levels really make you use every skill made available to you. What a way for the Snake era of the series to go out. And by the way Vamp fucking rules he has my vote for best villian ever.
