Ikaruga Xbox live arcade

Post by billberth »

Is it me or Ikaruga is different on Xbox than Dreamcast. I mean The timming is slighly off. I can easily do 90+ chain on the dreamcast version... on xbox im not able to do more than 40 chain?!?!?!

Does anyone experience this?

yeah, I will add you once I get an xbox 360 again...and I think it's because of dreamcast's slowdowns

I would add you, but I suck. I don't even try to chain any attacks.

Treasure has admitted that Ikaruga on xbox live is slightly different in some areas. They said it was due to some coding errors that are present in the game. People have asked for a patch but Treasure (in a recent interview I read) said that they don't have any time to create a patch for the game right now.

I remember hearing about this.. I'm glad I still have my physical copy. I would buy Ikaruga on Xbox Live otherwise... 8)

supposedly the difference is in the timing, affecting chains and scoring. Making it inaplicable for shmups standard scoreboard.

If you suck as bad as I do, you won't notice. You still won't make it past stage 2. (cry)

I can - JUST ABOUT lol

yeh I do have to admit that I was slightly less crap when I played Ikaruga on the DC - I originally put it down to using a better stick for my DC (Agetec with SANWA parts) then on my 360 (Hori EX-2). Maybe the lack of slowdown was the reason though...
