Any good Gundam games?
So, I just got into Gundam, more specifically the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, and I was wondering if there were any great Gundam games?

Gundam Battle Assault 1 & 2 are not too bad. Also, I kind of liked Dynasty Warriors Gundam, but it can be repetitive.

There aren't many great Gundam titles I've played and there are too many to count but the few mentioned above like Gundam Battle Assault 1 & 2 and Endless Duel are fun.. I also liked Dynasty Warriors Gundam even if it's a bit repetitive...
I may be missing some but I rarely see Gundam games that really shine..

Re: Any good Gundam games?
My 2 favorite Gundam games are Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise from the Ashes for Dreamcast and Zeonic Front for Playstation 2. I really got into Zeonic Front mainly because you get to command a Zeon MS team throughout the One Year War. I picked up Rise from the Ashes for the Dreamcast when it first came out. I recently tried to play through it again, and it seemed to be a lot harder than I remembered. I just can't seem to be able to get back into to it anymore, controls just don't seem right.
I do agree that most of the Gundam games I've played are not must have titles, usually poor controls, weak design or game play. If I wasn't a fan of the Universal Century storyline I most likely would never of got into the games to begin with.Dakinggamer87 wrote:I may be missing some but I rarely see Gundam games that really shine..

Yeah, I figured that the enjoyment that you get out of the games would be more based on how much you enjoy the shows rather than the actual quality of the game. The Dreamcast one looked really interesting and I might give it a whirl. I've also missed out on mech games at large. Could you give me any recommendations?

Re: Any good Gundam games?
Ill through out a few that seem to be really good/decent games that i find.
SNES:
Gundam Wing Endless Duel is pretty much the game that became popular on emulators back when 2000 hit and Gundam Wing was big.
PS1:
Gundam Battle Assult 1 and 2 are pretty decent fighters. If you happen to like fighting games, then try these out.
PS2:
MSG: Encounters in Space is about the best PS2 game i can think off. It happends to be one of my favorites out there that have been ported to the USA.
Gundam: Gundam vs Zeta Gundam is basicly a more expanded version of Federation vs Zeon. I played that quite a bit and had a blast with it.
MSG: Zeonic Front is another one i had hours apoun hours of fun with. If you like the Rainbow Six series, its basicly built on that same design/tactics, which makes it interesting to play.
Dreamcast:
Gundam: Rise from the Ashes is a great game. The controls are iffy at first to get used to, but once you do, its not to bad to play.
Anything else you see, really dont bother picking up. Journey to Jaburo is something you could try out, but that has enough problems with game play as it is, but its still a decent game or to me i think so...
