This is a really simple question that most anybody with the game can answer. Does the Conduit for the wii have splitscreen multiplayer? Does it have any offline multiplayer (i.e. Lan)?
I tried looking it up but I keep getting theories about the game before it came out so I don't know what is verified.

The Conduit has no form of offline multiplayer.

Would you really want a splitscreen mode for the Conduit? That doesn't seem like it'd work out well.

Re: Does The Conduit have splitscreen multiplayer?
The only problem with online multiplayer is that when the next system comes out, the multiplayer probably won't work. Even if it does, there won't be anyone on. Pretty much the only thing I like in an FPS is a good offline multiplayer. Even LAN would do.
Re: Does The Conduit have splitscreen multiplayer?
Technically any game capable of online play is capable of LAN (replace the L with a W to prove that theory), but it may take someone wily to make it happen. Probably not a tough feat for the Wii, considering how much is possible with softmods alone.
Re: Does The Conduit have splitscreen multiplayer?
It's easy to make a LAN game playable over the internet through a tunneling service like Xlink. However the same in reverse would not be so easy i'm sure!

Thats the problem with any online console game - once the servers go done it takes a fair bit of effort to keep the games running and theres no guarntee that anyone will bother with your particular fave game. At least with PC games you can normally set up your won server easily. Luckily I grew out of online games and generally preffer the single player modes

Re: Does The Conduit have splitscreen multiplayer?
I really dislike that online is dominating this generation. There are many benefits, but it is important that I can enjoy games with friends. Whether its Katamari Damacy with my girlfriend, or Mario Party with 4 friends at 2am, or taking turns in something like Super Monkey Ball, its always something that I enjoy doing with my friends right there in person. As far as FPS, Goldeneye was HUGE, and on PS2 we played a shit ton of Timesplitters, it was wacky and fun and we were all in the same room. I suck at Halo, but I don't mind getting killed by my friends because we're doing it together and its just hanging out while playing games. Online only really takes away from that. At least with Halo we can play 4 players and online, but not being able to play multiplayer with those around me really blows.
Re: Does The Conduit have splitscreen multiplayer?
No it doesn't it is just horseshit.I can't believe i payed $50 for a cookie cutter fps.I don't want to play online with total strangers i want to play with my friends. It is just stupid and the only reason split screen isn't in the game is because the developers were to lazy to put it in there.

Huh. Guess you should have done your research before plunking down for a new game, eh?
