It's an issue with all model 2 Genesis systems caused by the low quality digital to analog video output processor made by Samsung.

By no means is your Genesis dying, it's just an issue usually noticed in rooms with low light where you can see more detail on the screen.

The only way to get rid of it is to get either a Model 1 or 3 Genesis, or try to find a revision 4 Model 2 Genesis which has a smaller motherboard and a Sony digital to analog processor wihich is of much higher quality than the Samsung one.

You can tell if a Model 2 Genesis is a revision 4 unit if when you look through the bottom air vent the metal shelding and the motherboard only go about halfway across said air vent.

Also revision 4 units have higher sound quality than the other Model 2 units as well.

I remember having the same problem. The interesting thing was this only occurred when I played it on my LG LCD. On my old CRT or my new Samsung Plasma I don't get the lines.

It's noticeable on any TV, SD or HD predominantly if you're using AV cables but still slightly irritating through an RF.
