BST Rules
We really need to come up with rules, now that the forums have so many new members its really getting worse. I swear half the time when I click a link its just someone using this forum for ebay links. There needs to be a post count number BEFORE posting, even if its 100 posts atleast we will know that person cares enough to talk with us, share ideas with us, or hell just ramble to us. Also if someone posts a bst thread, and the ONLY information in that post is Here are the links for ebay, or something to that nature....I think people should be warned, or the post deleted and warned. All of the items I sell, get to goto you guys first, and even when on ebay I will still work out deals for shipping. No new members I have seen offer ANYTHING special to forum members AT ALL, the post it literally a place for free advertisment.
Maybe I just needed a good rant, but I REALLY feel we need rules...and rules that are enforced.

Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.
Re: BST Rules
This is something we've been discussing for a while, so don't worry. The mods know about it. We just haven't finalized anything yet.

Re: BST Rules
Well I thank you very much, being a collector...I spend 85% of my time on that section of the forum alone, and it is hard to believe just how many times I have clicked a thread to see just a single ebay link...or "I have this forsale" and then it goes to an ebay link. It just has gotten WAY worse in the last few months, anything the mods do will be GREATLY appreciated.Ack wrote:This is something we've been discussing for a while, so don't worry. Re: BST Rules
It has gotten worse lately for sure. It is hard for the people that try to keep to 1 thread as well with others using 4 and 5 threads and the tons of ebay threads. Maybe there could just be an ebay section. Although as slow as it has been lately I won't be surprised if it works itself out a bit.
EDIT: I do have 2 threads at the moment. But I am just letting my old one die off since I put all of it on ebay.

Re: BST Rules
I can understand mutliple threads...IF its something that needs to stand out on its own. But at the same time, there was a point where there was 15 threads by one person on something like "Mario/Duck hunt for nes" and then the next one "Super mario world" Its not like they were rare items...just mutliples trashing the place up. The biggest thing is that I hate going in the bst section and looking at people LITERALLY USING US, for a free advertisment. If you have..15 posts, you sell so many items, and bump those items...well then all of your posts were just using this forum for an ebay link that you bumped. If it has one day left...and we know its ebay...fine bump it, but dont bump an ebay link twice a day.

Re: BST Rules
Well I agree and both disagree on some of the points being brought up.
Some sellers such as Hashiriya1 (Great guy buy his stuff!
), had their first posts in the BST section and are some of Racketboy's best and most upstanding members.
Others that post nothing but eBay links and bring nothing special or constructive to the forums along with their mass of junk threads should get the standard three strikes and a ban treatment.
All in all though I feel that we shouldn't segregate users to a particular section of the forums until they meet some bogus requirement, but that we should give them ample warning that they need to either get with the program or get the heck out.

Re: BST Rules
I can agree with that, but at the same time...he also posted around other areas showing pics from japan and such things. Some members ONLY post in the BST, which I am ok with...its the fact that they ONLY post ebay links...that gets to me.

Re: BST Rules
That's exactly what I meant.
After all us Racketeers should get a chance to vie for the current object of our affections before it goes to the eBay hounds shouldn't we?

Re: BST Rules
I kind of feel like the BST should be used for just that. And if you wanna sell yr shit on ebay then go do that. Maybe have ONE thread that's like just for you to post yr ebay seller name and perhaps what consoles yr selling for?
