Here's a question for the Sega Saturn modders out there...
Does it matter what Sega Saturn you have to make the mod chip work? I have, what I firmly believe to be, a japanese, model 2 Sega Saturn. Going by that, I'm assuming that the mod chip will work. I just want to run it by you guys to see what others have done.
I understand the whole "region" thing and I have an ST key cart to deal with that. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Modyfing a Japanese Sega Saturn...
Well, here's an update. I tried using racketboy's mod-chip installation guide for a 32-pin IC Sega Saturn on my Japanese model. No luck...mastashake57 wrote:Here's a question for the Sega Saturn modders out there...

I tried the A+B bridge, nothing.
I tried soldering directly to pin 14, nothing
I even traced back the A notch back to the chip and soldered directly onto the chip (thinking maybe the trace got cut), nothing.
Can anyone help?

Which mod chip are you using (Where did you get it from)? Do you have a photo of the inside of your system?
