anyone can't wait for the Front mission 5 translation?

Post by weasels »

As far as i know this hasn't been brought up. If most of you don't know a FM5 translation is close to being competed. currently on it's 3rd patch (translates a majority) they plan on releasing the 4th patch this summer that is supposed to have everything translated. i couldn't help but try it! and i love it! so far they are doing a great job of it. and i personally cant wait until the final release. if you want to check it out just Google it. it's not hard to find(i just don't want to be linking anything i shouldn't). So is anyone else ecstatic about this translation job as much as i am?

I'm looking forward to it. Front Mission 4 was DENSE, though, so I dunno.

Is 5 a substantial upgrade over 4? If it's anywhere near as good as 3, I'll be all over this.

well its alot better. i honestly agree that 4 was........not that great. 3 is by far the best. some of the things in 5 that make it better is: the story and characters are alot more interesting (the game takes place from the beginning of fm1 through all the other fm's!). the game plays smooth and transitions into battles perfectly making it a lot more exciting. the link system is there which could be a blessing or not depending on what your preference is. there is not friendly fire! this can also be a blessing in disguise because it adds some more tactical death to the game. unfortunately we are still missing some great things for FM3 like the ability to get out of your mech and hijack. of course new weapons and designs as well as some old ones. so far it feels alot better than 4 and is worth a shot. i was just as weary of playing 5 because of 4. nonetheless i am so far very happy with most of the outcome. oh and still no rumble after you toast an enemy like in 3, although that's not important.

edit: forgot to mention there's an arena mode although its not like in FM1
