Hard-Off, a chain of used electronic goods in Japan. Unfortunately, I don't live in England so I have no idea what shops are like there.

Cables are very easy to find. The power cable is just the generic one, any shall do even ones from old radios and dreamcasts, saturns, etc. etc. The A/V cables are available at gamestop for .99 (I got the advanced AV pack for that much). So cheap cables are well, cheap.

I think we can safely say ps2 is better for the library
hardware wise I think xbox wins, but can we do with hardware alone

I am not sure of what exclusives that you should be favoring xbox for
Halo's I do not think stand the test of time, maybe Ninja Gaiden.

I just took a quick look at the original's library and I do not see anything special really.
Most games can be found on ps2, pc, or there is better version like sport games. I am not
sure if it has any exclusives really, even ninja gaiden has a ps3 version.

In regards to the PS2 and Xbox question, which one is the most played console in the world and which one is not? I personally enjoy both though my PS2 edges out due to the badass library of games. The PS2 has had a much longer shelve life than the Xbox.

You may be able to get most of the games on PS2 as well, but trust me, the Xbox versions are the definitive versions to get (unless they came out on PC as well of course).

Best place for cables will be CEX and Amazon Marketplace.

Also, good to see another Brit on here!
