Craigslist dreamcast score

This morning I responded to a craigslist add for a dreamcast, 5 controllers (3 official, 2 madcatz), 3 games, and light gun. The power and video cords were missing, but she was quite sure it all still worked. It was offered for $10.

I have a dreamcast already but it's laser is dying (I've adjusted it twice now), and I don't have a light gun, so I thought it was a pretty good deal.

When I met the seller, she greeted me with a pretty grubby console and quite dirty controllers. She seemed a bit embarrassed by the condition (I think the stuff was her son's and she hadn't looked at it before) and when we met she was very nice and without me saying anything she told me that I could just take it for free. $10 was fair, and I told her so, but she insisted. So I got the whole lot for free.

Just a little cleaning later and it looks mostly new. I haven't been able to hook it up yet since I'm in the process of moving and my other dreamcast stuff is at the other house, but I think I made out pretty well.

of course you did! Here's hoping everything works. Nice score. I'm trying to get a DC again for some of the newer releases (and I just miss having one-again) not sure if I want to just go the cheapo route or get one of the many cool limited editions

Definitely a score. Craigslist is awesome. I've gotten just about my whole collection from people getting rid of their stuff off craigslist. I've gotten tons of stuff for free because people usually just want to get rid of it. I got rogue galaxy for free when the guy failed to show up and he felt bad. People have thrown in official strategy guides for a lot of rpgs because they had no use for it and didn't feel like selling it seperately.

Yeah its like ebay is now cheaper than Craigslist and the extra expensive shop.goodwill.

Yeah I also got a free Dreamcast lot from a friend, It came with 2 controllers and 1 game. The console was also pretty immaculate.

My girlfriend gave me 8 free Dreamcast games. They all had the cases and inserts. She had no use for them, beceause she sold her dreamcast at a yard sale. I'm not quite sure why she wanted me to have them, but I'm not complaning. Hell, it was 8 free dreamcast games.

Naw, I love my girlfriend. Been with her for almost a year now. After all, she did GIVE me them. I own them now. They are mine. Mine as in not hers anymore. Mine as in if I were to set them on fire on accident, she wouldn't give a damn.
