Second Look At Wii Vitality Sensor
A lot of people were disgusted by Nintendo's E3 announcement of the Wii Vitality Sensor. I have to admit, at first, I was, too. But then after I thought about the implications of a pulse sensor in a video game, some new concepts and possibilities came to mind. I believe that the Wii VS will have awesome uses in games. The first idea that came to mind is a horror game that changes the situation with your pulse. Image that, a game knowing you are scared and reacting to it. That sounds pretty cool. Another idea came for Japanese Dating Sims. You could have the game's descisions be based on your mood. When playing a visual novel, it can feel pretty impersonal playing a dating sim, but this could be an interesting way to go deeper [pun intended
]. Basically, the overall concepts I'm trying to explain is that this add-on could have far greater uses than people first thought. I'm actually pretty excited about this.

Those are all great ideas and suggestions, but do you honestly believe Nintendo has any intention of doing that? Hopefully 3rd parties do that and convince Nintendo to let them package the peripheral with their game.lisalover1 wrote:A lot of people were disgusted by Nintendo's E3 announcement of the Wii Vitality Sensor. They did with the Wii balance board, and that turned out pretty well. Now a ton of games support the peripheral. I hope the same happens with this.Reverend wrote:Those are all great ideas and suggestions, but do you honestly believe Nintendo has any intention of doing that? I wonder how well that worked. Probably didn't work because they didn't move it to the states, or it worked good and they just thought only Japanese people would by something that crazy. Wish I had one.andymol21 wrote:I still maintain Nintendo has done this before!

No slot for for nunchuck and the need for a dedicated hand only means limited gameplay options in my eyes.
