what is the device attached to this super famicom? I have done some reading through different websites, but can't seem to find anything on this.

Looks like a duplicator that plays off 3.5 inch floppies.

pop in your original and copy to floppy. good device i used to have one similar too bad i sold it. :(

That's pretty cool, I love tinkering around with old-school floppy tech like that.

just trying to make sure i get the point. Its not for game saves, but for backing up your cartridge to a floppy, so you can preserve your original copy, and just use the floppy instead? The reason i ask is because i was thinking there must be some sort of super famicom floppys, similar to the one loaded in the pic.

Nice. Can you load roms onto a floppy from your PC and play from there? That sounds even more convenient than a flash cart. Probably shitty load times though.

while I know nothing about the sfc floppys I do believe you've got the idea.
