I've never seen the point in these "new" Dreamcasts. They're the same system you can get for 25 bucks at your local video game retailer except you have to be more cautious because it was more expensive! I understand some are extremely picky, but good grief.

Amazon is good like that, I see a lot of these so called "new old stock" items up there from time to time. I've seen a few new SNES games and they weren't a mark up either.

dose not look new, look at the top of the box.

Where dreamcast sealed? thinkgeek had "Brand new Sega Dreamcast" before and I don't see the point when you could buy a used one for about $25.00 with a game or two.

Some shelf damage maybe? I think the point of getting a new one is that it has 0 hours of use versus a used one that could have and where from 10 to who knows how many hours of use. Not that I would want to buy one for $120, I don't use my Dreamcast much, but it might be worth it if you look to have your system last as long as possible. And especially if you're a hard core Dreamcasterian.

The image might be from a customer or third-party seller, which would explain the box damage. Legally Amazon cannot sell an item with a damaged box like that as new. Of course, some items are damaged during shipping, and others might get damaged during the packing process and not sidelined like they should be, but the items on the shelves before being picked should all be new boxes.

Thinkgeek has been selling brand new dreamcasts for a while now for $99

http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/games/ba52/

Which is still kind of expensive considering they were $49.99 back when bestbuy was trying to clear them out in 2002.

Or you can buy them from Sega Parts: http://www.leftcoastgames.com/index.php ... 56ea30fb53

These are the guys that bought all of Sega's inventory when they dumped everything Dreamcast and older when they got out of the hardware business.
