I remember my bro had this game when I was a kid and I always got stuck on the fat guy the second time when he was a clown. I should really get the game again now that I'm back into video games

Same problem as above... I got as far as trying to knock him down a third tim, with my entire health bar intact... and still lost.

I'm now stuck on Mad Clown, but at least I'm making progress. My whole problem with Mr.Sandman was that after you knock him down three times he comes at you with three quick upper cuts the trick was just getting to recognize when that is coming and getting the timing down to dodge all three. Also my thumbs hurt...

I've been playing the NES version all month, but I found a copy of Fight Night Round 2 for Gamecube, which includes the SNES version, so I'll be playing that now. Never played the SNES version, so it should be fun.

Man it took me forever but I finally beat super macho man, but what do I do now? How do I do the final circuit? Did I have to beat the other circuit undefeated??

That's right. You need to be undefeated.

After playing the NES version half the month, and the SNES verion half the month, I'd say this:

NES version is amazing. And fucking hard.
SNES Version is better looking, but very easy and not nearly as awesome as the original.
