Good multiplayer ds games

Post by AwesomeMonstar »

I'm about to head out to europe with my buddy and he just got himself a brand new ds, so naturally, i got alot more to do on the plane/train rides. Any reccomendations on some good multiplayer games for the system? and could you specify if its single cart or multi that'd be swell.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

If you want variety, the multiplayer minigames in New Super Mario Bros/ Super Mario 64 DS are a lot of fun.

I would also recomend the mini games on New Super Mario Bros/Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart. The only problem with Mario Kart is that the single cart multiplayer does not have nearly as much variety as you might want it to have. You would be better off with multi-cart multiplayer on Mario Kart DS.

Metroid Prime Hunters is also a very good FPS multiplayer, single or multi-cart. The other multi-player modes on New Super Mario Bros/Super Mario 64 are also pretty addicting. Tetris DS is always very fun, single or multi cart.
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

I used to play Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Animal Crossing, and Tetris with all my friends on the bus for years. All 8 DS's playing at once. :)

doesn't grand theft auto have a 2p mode

tennis games are always great. the only good one i've tried is by codemasters. didn't have wi-fi but should have 2-4p. golf is usually cool too.

stay far away from the baseball games on this system  and none of the soccer games seemed any good, though fifa 09 was at least playable.

oh ya tecmo super bowl was solid (as always) but a bit complicated..

mario kart speaks for itself. watch out for hackers and obsessive japanese kids in online mode

you could always get an action replay and play retro dos games like decent or doom. do some of those work w/ wi-fi? because that would be wonderful :D

i always forget, Sega Presents Touch Darts! perhaps a bit primitive but oddly enough my favorite game on the ds! and i haven't yet found anyone willing to play against me so i can only imagine how awesome it is without comp opponents.

if you try it you might get you so addicted you'll run out and buy real darts. because that's what happened to me 8). think about it, it might help you make friends in european bars. well at least england.

Atención!!!
Image this has just been released in N. America :!: run, don't walk to buy it
