Ok so I have a Max Drive for PS2.
I'm downloading PS1 game saves which are Dex Drive format. Is there a way I can convert these to Max Drive so that I can put them on my PS2 memory card? I know there's some game save converting tools out there, just can't find one for Dex Drive to Max Drive, or at least PS1 to Max Drive.
Downloading PS1 saves and putting them on my PS2 mem. card?

I'm not familiar with Max Drive, but I know you always needed a Playstation 1 memory card for ps1 games.

I don't know. But if you have something like swapmagic, you can put them on a usb stick and then copy them to the card.

Damn is this tru? Then this would mean I would need to buy Dax Drive for my PS1 too... for some reason I remember playing my PS1 games with a PS2 memory card...molotovwars wrote:I'm not familiar with Max Drive, but I know you always needed a Playstation 1 memory card for ps1 games.

I don't think PS1 games can even recognize PS2 memory cards as a useable device.

You are correct. When playing ps1 games on the ps2 you still need to be running a ps1 card. The games will not see the ps2 8mb card.Scooter wrote:I don't think PS1 games can even recognize PS2 memory cards as a useable device.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. Yep, you can't use a PS2 memory card with PS1 games. Just flat out doesn't work, no matter how you convert the saves. The PS1 games simply won't recognise an 8MB PS2 memory card at all.
