Model 1 Mega CD - question about lock slidy thing

Post by Curlypaul »

On the side opposite to where the mega drive and the cd connect, there is a small slidy thing that says 'lock' on it. However it does not lock the consoles together as you might expect and I cannot see anything that looks like it might be broken..

Also what do I need to do to get stereo sound out? both units are model 1

Thanks

that small slidy thing that says 'lock' on it lock's the cable "mixing cable" you run from the headphone jack to the "mixing port"back of the sega cd. so you need a cable that has a headphone connection on both side's to connect the genesis to the back of the sega cd and then connect the stereo "red and white" rca jack to t.v. that's how you get stereo sound from it. :) hope this helps.

Right - I see the lock is just to keep the cable looking tidy and not to stop the 2 units wiggling about and destroying the connections.

I'm sure I've got a cable like that up the the loft, i'll have to go and check though.

Cheers
