360 Elite Bundle Question

I am intrested in getting a 360, and the new Game of the Year Bundle with an Elite with Fable 2 and halo 3 is looking good, however I heard they are repackaged "Falcons" Elites and not "Jaspers".

The question I have is the jasper that much better then the Falcon chip set? I have hard it runs cooler and quieter, and that alone is a great reason to want a jasper. However in the end as long as the system runs and plays the games without red ringing in under 12 months it is all good.

I think getting those two games plus a top model 360 for $399 is a decent deal, would be better if they were Jaspers...lol...what are your opinions?

I recently got my jasper on april since my 360 I bought in summer of 06' red ringed with the NXE update. After a month and change with it I am definitely more satisfied with the jasper. After hours of playing Halo 3 online I had a thing of always touching the back of the system to feel how hot it is and after a while with my OG 360, that joint would be on fire. Now with the jasper, even after hours, it would only be lukewarm. The system I think is more quiet as well.

I tried looking online for complains over the jasper to see if any of them have been dropping dead and have found no complain thus far.

I had my original hard drive and everything saved so that's why buying the plain Arcade ain't bother me BUT IF I had the cash I would buy the arcade and the 120 GB separate instead of the Falcon Elite just to make sure. (plus i hate the black 360, need it white like my DC)

I have had a Falcon Elite model for awhile now and have really enjoyed it. I originally bought on launch date a Premium Xbox 360 and difference is night and day how much better it performs in terms of noise, heat, and overall performance... I would say go for Falcon if you don't want to search for a Jasper unit and the Xbox 360 Game Of The Year bundle with Fable II and Halo 3 is a good deal for the price.. If I can find a Jasper unit I'll upgrade in a flash..

I went to Gamestop today and got the manager to open up all the Xbox 360 Elite box's they had and guess what? ALL OF THEM WERE FALCONS. The manager told me they just recieved these Xbox shipments 2 weeks ago. Fuck Microsoft for still selling $400 Black Elites that are Falcon models. It's May 2009 and this is still happening.

However, almost all Xbox Arcades are Jaspers.
