...until now! PS3 owners might consider importing one of these slick, museum-grade replicas of the classic AES stick, due to be released from Japanese peripheral manufacturer Exar on July 16 for 5,229 yen ($54). We're talking 100% historical accuracy -- except for the obvious addition of L & R buttons.
Xbox 360 owners are out of luck, however; there's no 360 version planned. The PS3 stick also lacks a PlayStation Home button, meaning no in-game XMB access will be available. The build is bound to be quality, though: Exar is known for its awesome Neo Geo stick replicas.
I'm not sure i'd pick one up even if i had a ps3. They are pretty slick controllers, don't get me wrong.... but they are kind of novelty. It'll only really play well with a very narrow margin of games that actually play fine with a regular 8 button stick.
Its this same reason i haven't picked up the wii version. Cool, but a novelty.

Agreed. Also, the L and R buttons look really tiny. I feel like it would be really easy to hit them on accident during a heated match.

I didn't know there was a Wii version. Damn, man import time.

yeah dude- even though the new KOF looks amazing and it would be great to play with an snk stick, you would probably get more play out of the snk wii stick if you are into retro gaming. The wii has a pretty big selection of neo games on it. There is an snk collection of 16 games, metal slug collection, kof collection, and samurai showdown collection. Which, pretty much covers all the a-listers. Not to mention the neo geo games that are on and still comming out on the virtual console.
I hear that the metal slug collection might not be compatible with the stick though. However, i'm pretty sure the VC metal slug is. I'm not sure about the snk arcade collection. It could be, i just haven't heard one way or the other on it.
kinda cool probably end up selling for alot more later. I'm happy with mine-which work on neo hardware. I think for ps3 a SF4 TE stick or something custom is best

Let me just confirm this also...the stick is NOT compatible with metalslug
