Never Beaten
I just read that nobody, yes nobody, has ever beat "The Silver Surfer" on the NES. Anyone know if this is true?

I wouldn't doubt it, I even used savestates on an emulator and was lucky to beat half the stages in 5 hours.SpaceBooger wrote:I just read that nobody, yes nobody, has ever beat "The Silver Surfer" on the NES. Anyone know if this is true?

It's got some pretty slick animations considering it's an NES game.nickfil wrote:

Re: Never Beaten
This game is SO hard. But I did waste a lot of hours on it back in the day. It makes me sad that the ending is so lame. I'm almost happy I never beat it.

Re: Never Beaten
maybe it was never beaten on the NES... I think emulation and save states would come in handy for a game like this.nickfil wrote:

i don't know man- he dies a couple times in the 4 parter. I think it's legit. No save states.SpaceBooger wrote:maybe it was never beaten on the NES... I think emulation and save states would come in handy for a game like this.nickfil wrote:
plus, how are you ever going to prove it was or wasn't ever beaten on the nes? No one logs that kinda thing from 20 years ago.

Re: Never Beaten
I beat a level for sure. I might have been the game, I don't really recall. I beat a lot of games and occasionally forget. Pretty sure it was only the one level and that was a TOUGH level. Now its all coming back to me, I only beat the one level. Watching a speed run brought that all back to me.
I like how it let you play the levels like Mega Man. But no one really followed Silver Surfer and his various villains, so knowing who Mephesto and Terrax are wouldn't hurt you, but having an idea of who they are makes the game more enjoyable.
This is part four of a speed run, guy beats the game. It is beatable, but really. I don't have the time to put into beating it, let alone without save states.
