I know what you mean, I've got only 4 wii games so far (Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Wario Land Shake It/Galaxy Wars/Super Paper Mario)

Muramasa looks sweet. It also seems like one of those games that is generally ignored by the general audience. That's too bad, the wii needs more great titles...

I'm really excited about Muramasa. Vanillaware's other games are visually amazing and I can't wait to experience this one. I have a feeling it won't sell very well, though.

I think the game looks like the most exciting thing in games I've seen in about two years, and only making it for the Wii is a huge mistake.

Hotly anticipating it, looks stunning. Anything that looks and plays like Princess Crown is a must buy in my book. And I do love that at the lan party I attended I was playing Princess Crown and people kept asking why they ripped off Odin Sphere...

Yeah, this game and Odin Sphere are great examples of not conforming to the thought that "everything is better in 3d". I want to see more companies be willing to take a standard game style and use all the new graphic technology to really create something amazing. Though these games are totally different, I thought Braid and Bionic Commando Rearmed were great additions to the 2D genre.

So what would happen if a developer used Unreal Engine 3 on a 2D game? Are there any examples of that? I only used that Engine as an example because its one of the most well known.

I'm really looking forward to this. Looking at the the various demonstation videos, it looks like they've solved many of the complaints people had with Odin Sphere. I never saw a trace of slowdown, and overall the combat is much faster and more fluid. The thing that annoyed me about Odin Sphere was how easy it was for enemies to get in cheap shots due to the nature of the combat system. It looks like they've resolved that with Muramasa. And since there are only two protagonists it looks like we won't have the issue that Odin Sphere had where there were approximately 8 bosses shared across all 5 characters.
