Lets start with the story. The princess has been kidnapped by some evil wizard or whatever and it´s up to some silly looking guy to save her. Best part of the story is the intro that explains it. Since it´s really bad but funny too since it has live acting.
Yes that is the hero of the game. No really im not kidding.
But a ugly hero is not enough to make the game bad lets move on to gameplay. The only good feature is that every new game is randomly generated so it might add some replay value. But replay value means nothing if the game isn´t fun. So here is how it plays out you start out in middle of nowhere you get a map that points out where to go. Run around fight some badly animated sprites until you get there. Once there fight some more badly animated sprites get an item. Move on to the next place on the map. Repeat until the game is finished. Thats it now it wouldn be so bad if in fact the fighting was any fun. The battles consist of hitting either fast attack or heavy attack some blocking is thrown in the mix but it´s mostly just hitting buttons and hoping for the best. Then thanks to some bad controls you need to switch from combat mode to walk mode wich can be very inconvenient if you accidentally swich to walking while in battle. Oh but the best part is if you get hurt fighting just stand still and you get healed slowly. Sounds fun doesn´t it.
Then to make the fighting and running around more fun. The game suffers from really bad framerate. Now occasional slowdown might be forgivable but no framerate is bad all the time only diffrence is it goes from bad to very bad and utterly unplayable. And it´s not like the graphics are good looking to begin with. So the fault lies with very bad graphic design made by developers that had no idea how to handle the saturn. Even saturn doom had better framrate..just think for a minute how bad it is since im actually saying doom had better framerate.
So in conclusion only ever buy this game if you want be a proud owner of the worst saturn game ever made.
