Question on Taito Legends 2

Post by nateup2 »

I am thinking about picking up Taito Legends 2 on PS2, mostly for G-darius (which I don't know how else to obtain) and Darius Gaiden. These are both great games and I was wondering if anyone has tried the versions on this comp. How are they emulated? I just want to know if they are arcade-perfect and therefore make this comp worth picking up.

Any other worthwhiles on here? My main concern is accuracy. I have historically found myself beyond pissed when I old titles are inexcusably released less than perfect on these comps. Sometimes I think they really do say "hey its been years, they wont remember"... but I ALWAYS do. Anyways, thanks in advance.

Elevator Action Returns was the sale for me on this. Wish they released it for the oXbox on the US so it can match my Taito Legends 1.

Haven't played any other game since I bought it a couple months ago.

Absolutely, don't hesitate to pick up this collection(especially considering that it's $12 or less).

Both Darius games are emulated very well and there are tons of other great games.

I mean seriously^

My ONLY gripe with the collection is that you cannot "tate" the display so you can play the vertical games full screen.

Definitely recommend Taito Legends 1&2. And the 2 Capcom comps if you dont have those either.

Yeah I had just picked up the 2 capcom ones. Im really having a great time with them.

What do you think of the SSF2T hyper fighting port on part 2? Somethings seemed off about it but Ive played so many versions since the original arcade version that I cant even really remember how accurate it is. How do you feel about the emulation of that title?

The SF2s on the first collection are definitely not arcade perfect but I dont know for sure about hyper fighting

I both TL collections and really like them. Elevator Action Returns is awesome. I also dig Metal Black and newer Space Invaders games. I don't know how accurate they are, but they're free of glitches, slowdown and other annoyances as far as I can tell.

The first Midway comp is worth getting too. Smash TV is an awesome, awesome game.
