The Hulk and Iron Man for PS3... worth it?
I just went into my local gamestop for their 50% off sale and I had a 10% coupon off as well. Well I bought the following:
Valkyria Chronicles
Dirt
Civil War
Call Of Duty 3
Brothers In Arms
I love all of these games, at least the few moments I spent playing each one today. My question is, should I go back and pick up the Hulk and Ironman games? I enjoyed the demo for Ironman, but at the time couldn't justify the 60 dollar tag. Just wondering what you guys think about the idea. I am a really big fan of comic book related stuff. Any other potential PS3 games I should look into, and don't point me in the direction of obvious ones. Something like a hidden gem if you will.

I enjoyed Folklore and Siren:Lost Translation. Warning though, Folklore is weird and very different. Siren will make you sit at the edge of your chair in suspense. And since you like SRPGs Disgaea 3 is great as well. These games are a little off the map of mainstream I think.

Hulk & Ironman weren't so good in my opinion.

Iron Man's controls are a bit awkward and kinda ruined it a bit for me....and you're better off getting Hulk: Ultimate Destruction than the newer movie tie-in.

Maybe i'm just bad at the game- but i hit a roadblock pretty quickly with ultimate destruction. Some mission i needed to finish to advance and tried it 15+ times and never got it right. ugh.Kenshiro28 wrote:Iron Man's controls are a bit awkward and kinda ruined it a bit for me....and you're better off getting Hulk: Ultimate Destruction than the newer movie tie-in.
i enjoied the ironman demo too- but i have to agree the controls were a little awkward. Maybe if it was cheap i'd pick it up.

Re: The Hulk and Iron Man for PS3... worth it?
Well that's the whole thing, both games are 20 dollars each at my local gamestop. I really enjoyed the demo for Iron Man, but when it was released I didn't think it was worth my 60 dollars. It looks like I will be going back to get Hulk since some of you enjoyed the gameplay. I have heard a lot of things of Disgaea, I am not used to the style of play that was Marvels Ultimate Alliance and even though I like Valkria Chronicles, I am not familiar with this type of RPG. That doesn't mean I don't like it. I got hooked on rpgs from playing Final Fantasy VII, that was the first one I ever played, so I have high standards for things like that, as well as Tactics, and Suikoden and Breath of Fire and Xenogears. So I am very familiar with turn based rpgs and random battles, I actually prefer to play games more like that. I am gonna have to double check the store again for Disgaea then. Thanks for the input guys.nickfil wrote:Maybe i'm just bad at the game- but i hit a roadblock pretty quickly with ultimate destruction. Keep in mind those comments were in regard to a different game.JDMThoughts wrote: It looks like I will be going back to get Hulk since some of you enjoyed the gameplay.

If you don't expect too much out of them, both games seem pretty enjoyable for what they are. I tend to like super hero games despite them being mediocre most of the time. I'll pick up Hulk for 360 eventually, but will probably pass on Iron Man since I don't dig flying in games.
