After hearing countless of complaints for the Madcatz Fightpads + they still not easy to find at RRP i decided to search for the Saturn USB pad.
And i came across this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-SEGA-Satu ... 240%3A1307
They are other results as well at ebay but this guy says that this is genuine.
If it isn't genuine does anyone bought one to tell me how it compares to the original?
Although i am still skeptical because i don't have a PS3 and i will be able to use it only on my PC (that's why i wanted the Madcatz 360 fightpad in the first place) but the price is nice + free shipping.

Re: Saturn USB pad
I think I'm going to snag one of these myself as well.
Are there any differences between the various versions besides color?

Re: Saturn USB pad
I found some cheaper on eBay, but I'm skeptical now after hearing there are counterfeits floating around. Apparently some people on the Gamespot forums have been dealing with d-pads breaking on them and theirs also have the Sega logo on the controller.
Re: Saturn USB pad
I just ordered one for $20 shipped off of ebay. I needed a 6 button pad for when I try out SSF soon. I will post pics and a review of it when it comes in. It is supposed to work with the PS3 as well so we will see how that goes too.Flak Beard wrote:I found some cheaper on eBay, but I'm skeptical now after hearing there are counterfeits floating around. Re: Saturn USB pad
I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it doesn't hold up, simply switch out d-pad (or the whole shell) with an old mkII US controller. Even if you do that, it can't cost you much more than $25.Flak Beard wrote:I found some cheaper on eBay, but I'm skeptical now after hearing there are counterfeits floating around. Re: Saturn USB pad
There is an alternative to getting a USB pad - there are some (also hard to find) adapters that let you use a normal Saturn Pad.

Re: Saturn USB pad
I'm tempted to grab one, but my Logitech Precision controller has served me well as far as d-pads go. Is the Saturn's d-pad as "legendary" as everyone makes it out to be?
I'd hate throw down $20+ on another PC controller when my current one could be comparable. Anybody here use both and can make a comparison?
