I'm looking for someone to mod my Sega Saturn (Round Buttons) with a region switch and a mod chip.
I have a mod chip but need assistance installing it.
I don't have the region switch materials.
I had a Sega Saturn Model 2 done a while ago but the laser crapped out on me.
Can anyone help?

edit:
I still suggest getting another model 2 Saturn. Hunting the right one down will still be a hell of a lot easier then trying to put the chip in your model 1 system. You'll also risk destroying the chip, which is a shame since they're a little hard to come by now a days.

Re: Looking for Sega Saturn modder
if you really, really want a region switch instead of an action replay, I can do that modification. I recommend just getting the 4 in 1 cart for imports since you'll need the ram for some of them anyway. the only reason to require a region switch would be a game like KOF 95 that has it's own cart. If you chip your saturn though, you can re-burn the game with a US country code and probably get by that way. I can only do US/J switches, so if you needed PAL, sorry
To be sure the modchip would work, I would need you to remove the lid of the saturn (just 4 screws) and take a picture or find pictures of the difference between 32pin and 64pin IC boards. The 32pin drives seem to work all the time, and 64's hardly ever (i've never seen one work actually).
Keep in mind, I live in Michigan so shipping from where you are may make the cost unreasonable. The region switch only requires one inexpensive switch, but you have to gut the whole system to get to the bottom of the MOBO. If money's not an issue, shoot me a PM and we can talk.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

I can do a switchless mod for you like this one that I did: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =a&start=0 and I can put the modchip in for you as well. You would just have to cover shipping, a few bucks for the switchless materials, and a few bucks for my time.

naw man it's all good, I usually stick to the simpler mods, and i'm just used to putting in the same old DPDT switch since probably the 90's. but hey, the more techies around here the better. If you can do a switchless for cheap I'm not going to blame ya for offering.
