With the recent discussion of cracking down on less-than-good topics and members, I'm checking to see who would like to be a moderator.
Obviously, I'm not going to just accept anyone, but I'd like to see who is interested and choose from that.

I'd love to give it a shot. I'm know I'm rather new, but I've been on Racketboy multiple times a day for months, so why not? Although I would like to know what a moderator does.

I would like to nominate myself for Mod.
I'm on the forum quite a lot. Whenever I'm on an internet computer I always check in to see what is new. I've had experience moderating forums before. I'm very familiar with PHPBB having installed and administrated it on my own personal website.
I fully appreciate that this is a volunteer role and not a 'status symbol'. I just really want to help make this forum (which has given me a lot of entertainment over the years!) the best it can be. Since I'm not the most creative of types when it comes to articles (I wish I could help with that kind of thing more often) I guess it's chance for me to 'give back' by getting my hands dirty with the general maintenance of the forums.

I would be willing to be a Moderator. I spend a large amount of time at work and at home on this site, and I have been a moderator for another smallish forum for the past 8 years. As a result I'm fairly familar with the moderation aspects of the forum software.

yeah- i'm pulling for niode too. He is a good guy and posts well. A positive influence for the kids to keep em off the streets and in the schools.
