Post by racketboy »

I've only played the third installment once in an arcade (with that huge gun) -- Can't wait to give it another try on the Wii

Played HOTD3 for the first time in a while tonight
Felt very natural on the Wii
I thought the aiming was much better than Ghost Squad and I seemed to have better intuition where baddies we gonna pop up.
Can't wait to learn it more :)

i've been playing this and HotD2 on wii. i hadn't played any HotD games before. is it just me, or are they pretty hard in places? i can't get past the sloth boss in HotD3. i'm going to have to give in and dial it down to "very easy" mode soon. :P

It's been a long time since I've played the arcade version, and I haven't played the XBox version. But I have heard a lot of criticisms of the Wii version compared to the other two - mostly about the graphics. I'll have to look into it to see whether there's any merit to them.

I own it on Wii and quite enjoy it. It's definitely a whole lot harder than HotD2, which is very welcome.

As with Ghost Squad, there are score bonuses for turning off the cursor on the Wii version, for anyone chasing a high score.

Oh yeah baby, Japanese PC only. Hard as hell to find, let alone play. PlayAsia has them in stock but it took them over a month to find it to ship it to me (Apparently they only had three or four in stock period). One of my girlfriends favorite games of all time is Typing of the Dead, so I thought it would make a great birthday gift. But thanks to the unexpected delay, it showed up a month after her birthday...

Its all of HotD 3 in TotD style. Just watch this to see:

How on earth do I get my score to stick in this game? Playing through in "arcade" mode, I've managed 120k by the beginning of the last level (more than enough to put me at #1 on the default scoreboard, which has 80k at the top). Yet when I hit game over, I don't get the opportunity to register my initials, nor does my score show up on the rankings.

I haven't finished the game yet. Currently I can make it to the final boss' second phase. Do you only get to register a score if you complete the game? Or am I missing something?
