I'm trying to run a ps1 game on my psp. I checked out a few programs that build psp eboot files out of ps1 games. So far i've had no luck.
The first 3 programs i used ( R5-GUI PopStationMD v2.0b, PsGUI221beta, Popstationgui) refused to actually build the psp eboot. The other 2 built it (psx2psp v1.4.2, and impaler psx)- and actually had the file icon/background show up on the psp. However, when i went to run the game i just had a blank screen.
All of these programs are building off of an old bin/cue file i had from when i actually owned the game. I converted the bin/cue to iso (or tried to leave it and see if the popsloader could handel bin/cue) using easyiso or imageburn. Both created the iso, but who knows if that is the weak link in the chain of steps.
I'm pretty sure i have everything set up right. I've run downloaded psx games that were already built for psp so i know it isn't my psp.
Has anyone built ps1 games for psp before? any advice?
Also- i was looking for a program to burn bin/cue files thinking that i could just burn them to a cd and then rip them to an iso if conversion wasn't working. However, everything seems to burn iso or img files these days. Is bin/cue tech outdated now?

I'm not sure if this will help out at all but maybe the game your trying to run just doesn't work on the psp. Heres a compatibility list http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?ti ... ility_List

I think i'm getting the hang of it. I got 007 tomorrow never dies from another rip to work.
the compatibility guide had a couple of notes about how to get the game to run, so i'm trying to follow those now. We'll see.
*edit* after much trial and error I got it to run. Thanks for your help xzeronature.

No problem I'm glad the list helped
Re: psx to psp problems...
Make sure you are using the latest popsloader. That's the best thing to ensure that the games run ok.
You can get it from dark alex's site.
