i guess i fail to see the significance of this system. why pay that astronomical price when a ps1 or 3do or a n64 is not even 1/4 of the price, and just as good? because its made by atari, and atari's last game console? i personally don't like the way the controller looks either.

I thought the system was cool looking, but had some major flaws. The games didn't have that generational leap. The graphics and playability were nothing special. The games mostly sucked as well. Still, it would be cool to have one for historic purposes. Or you could buy it and turn it into dental equipment like one company did. Image

haha, funny shit. i understand the legacy of atari and all, but personally i think the 3do is a little more rare, and in the same generation. simply because it was a one time thing, the only thing 3do created (hardware wise) and there were no preceders or succeeders. i know the game library is smaller for the 3do, but i still like alot of the games that were released.
